Big Elk Park/Hole in the Rock Recreation Area
Three miles east of Macy are Big Elk Park and Hole in the Rock Recreation Area, which offer camping, hiking, fishing and nature observation. The area has 21 miles of trails for horseback riding or ATVs. Hunting and fishing are allowed with tribal permits. (402) 837-5391.

Blackbird Hill
"Lewis and Clark and 10 men climbed Blackbird Hill to the burial site of Blackbird, an Omaha chief who died four years earlier of smallpox. There is a historical marker at the site, which is along Highway 75 south of town. The hill overlooks the Missouri Valley."

Omaha Indian Reservation
The Omaha Tribe has occupied this region since the mid-18th century. The Omaha Indian Reservation hosts the tribe’s annual powwow in August.
