Siouxland Freedom Park

Siouxland Freedom Park is located on 55 acres of land and is actually a city park in South Sioux City.  It is accessible off of Veterans Drive (if coming in from the south, take 39th Street around to the east side of South Sioux City which will run into Veterans Drive).  Siouxland Freedom Park contains a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, a dog park dedicated to a South Sioux City native who served as a Navy Seal with his dog, a gazebo, a “Never Forget” Garden by the local chapter of DAR and a 30’x60′ American Flag flying high above the Park.  There are picnic tables and a playground across the street from the Park.  The Interpretive Center will open for visitors later this year 2023 after specially created exhibits are completed and installed that will tell many compelling stories of the veterans from the Siouxland area.  A Korean War Memorial will be installed outside this summer.  Please stop by and learn about those who gave all for our freedom.
