YP Summit
/in Norfolk /by Travel CouncilOur CONNECT group is hosting their third CONNECT NORFOLK SUMMIT on Friday, September 4th. The vision for this event came from wanting to provide more networking opportunities and resources for the young professionals in our area, and also for the smaller communities nearby. This includes professional and personal development, networking, and fun social meetups—a little bit of everything wrapped up in ONE neat little event.
We created this half-day event for your younger employees to take advantage of the fun sessions to learn, grown, and engage with others. We feel this is an incredible opportunity for you to invest in the professional development of your workers, and in turn, we want them to find new inspiration to bring back to your business. With this not taking place over the entire day, that means your employees can still work a half day before joining us at the summit.

Social Distancing Guidelines: The Norfolk Arts Center will enforce social distancing guidelines provided by our state and local health departments. Socially distant circles, 10ft in size and spaced 6ft apart from each other) will be available on a first come, first served basis. Groups who arrive to ‘Fork Fest together will get a circle together, limit 8 people to a circle.
Hand sanitizing stations will be accessible throughout Johnson Park for the duration of the event along with sanitizing spray in each restroom facility to be used after each use. We ask that you help us keep our public safe by spraying the restroom facility after use.
There will be one entrance and two exits at socially distant style ‘Fork Fest. The entrance and exits will be clearly marked for your protection and we ask that all attendees keep a social distance of 6ft while entering and exiting ‘Fork Fest. If you choose to leave prior to 10:00 p.m. (and we sincerely hope you don’t), you will be exiting at your own risk. Beginning at 10:00 p.m. (or at the conclusion of the music) we will release socially distant circles safely and in an organized fashion.
We’re working hard to keep our community safe while attending one of our favorite events of the year, and we hope we can count on you to do the same!
